Asphalt Shingle Color Guidance
Date: May 27, 2026
Overview
All changes must be submitted to Architectural Request using the request form on Modifications and Improvements page.
The Architectural Review Committee (ARC) and the Westside HOA Board have developed this guidance to assist homeowners in selecting asphalt shingle colors that align with the community's aesthetic standards. Selecting a color from the list below allows for an expedited "auto-approval" process, ensuring consistency across the neighborhood while providing a variety of high-quality options. All roofing changes must be approved by the ARC.
Pre-Approved Shingle Specifications
The following manufacturers and specific color lines have been pre-approved for installation within the association. Please note that while these colors are auto-approved, an ARC application must still be submitted through the homeowner portal prior to the commencement of work.

Important Considerations
Burnt Sienna: This color was recently added to the auto-approved list following a Board-granted variance. It has been determined that this specific shade remains harmonious with the neighborhood palette.
Black Shingles: Due to their prevalence in the neighborhood and current design trends, black-toned shingles (such as Onyx Black and Charcoal) are now included in the auto-approved materials list.
Material Quality: The IKO product lines represent various tiers, ranging from the higher-end Cambridge line to the mid-tier Dynasty and lower-end Nordic shingles.
ARC Submission: Homeowners must include the specific manufacturer, product line, and color name in their ARC request to qualify for auto-approval.
Other Materials: If you wish to use a color or material not listed above (such as metal roofing), please refer to the ARC Guidance for alternative roofing materials or submit a standard ARC request for review.
