Xeriscape Bed at Kay Redden
Xeriscape planting at Kay Redden Pool
Sunscapes has completed a xeriscape planting at Kay Redden Park. This replaces the live oak that was dying due to stress and general decline. We asked Sunscapes to create a demonstration of a xeriscape using native (and adapted) low maintenance plants that also promote water conservation. Part of this project included adding drip irrigation to the area.

Community garage sale - MARCH 29
Community garage sale is posted for Saturday, March 29. If you would like to participate, you are on your own to set up in your yard or driveway to take advantage of the traffic from around the area.
Water restrictions
Cedar Park entered Stage 3 restrictions on March 1, per LRCA requirements as Lake Travis continues to drop. This means one day a week watering based on the last digit of your house number. Check the schedule here.
It would be useful to do an irrigation audit to ensure you are getting the most for your irrigation. Consider running your schedule in 2 halves instead of a long one to avoid runoff, for example.
If you are re-sodding areas of your landscape, you can apply for a variance to establish the sod.
New Trees on Lakeline
We have started the first phase of our master landscape plan for Lakeline, planting trees in the median strips. This was funded by the City of Cedar Park, as part of our license agreement on shared maintenance between Cypress Creek and Zach Russell. We will be planning on more plantings and landscape on the west side of Lakeline, waiting for an update on the Shared Use Path for the east side, as well as watching the weather.
Note that new tree plantings will be using drip irrigation instead of bubblers, which is allowed under Stage 3 - check the FAQ for details at the link above.

We are continuing to plan social events for the community, based on turnout from last year. These are on the schedule, and we will have more details as they are confirmed. If you would like to help out with your community events, please contact us.
